François-Guy Thivierge is one of some 30 adventurers in the world who have completed one of the most coveted extreme odysseys around the world: the seven summits and the two poles.
Winner of Everest and the highest peak on every continent, mountaineer and lecturer François-Guy Thivierge is not afraid of effort. A native of the Quebec City area, he has some 3000 ascents to his credit, has travelled to some 50 countries and has skied both poles of the globe. His perseverance also led him to set up the Roc Gyms climbing centre and the Ascensation climbing school, in addition to his thirst for daring adventures, François Guy Thivierge pursues a great dream: to transmit the passion that lives in him and the values that the mountain has taught him. A native speaker and motivational speaker, he has received numerous awards and honours, including being the sports ambassador for the 400th anniversary celebrations in Quebec City. His long and courageous career as a mountaineer has taken him to the highest and most difficult mountains on earth. His 3000 ascents with 50 expeditions in 25 countries on 7 continents have enabled him to perfect his determination, endurance and perseverance and have enabled him to achieve his objectives and dreams.
